She served as Executive Board Member at Premogovnik Velenje, CEO at Agroemona kmetijstvo, Procurator at Aha Emmi / Aluminium Kety Emmi, and Director of Finance and Accounting at construction and engineering firm SITEEP Tegrad & Pap, leading large-scale financial and operational restructurings, process optimizations, and cost management strategies aimed at boosting profitability and achieving deleveraging. She also gained extensive commercial and investment banking experience as Board Adviser & Managing Director of the Corporate Finance Department at SKB d.d. (Société Générale Group), managing high-profile M&A transactions for major domestic and international clients, including Mercator, Telekom Slovenije, Adriatic Slovenica, Droga Kolinska, and Volksbank.
Maja possesses strong corporate governance experience, having served as Non-Executive Director at Triglav Osiguruvanje Skopje and a Supervisory Board member at Vipa Holding, alongside managing voluntary liquidations, asset disinvestments, and litigation proceedings within the Vipa Group.
